Hi everyone!
Since my blog’s name includes the word “fragrance” I thought it was fair to write my first “real” post about one of my recent purchases which – of course – is a fragrance.
I hadn’t really heard about Jo Malone before but thanks to the big community that YouTube is, I was hearing more and more about this brand. One day I came across a video that Fashion Mumblr posted (by the way, she is so good at what she does and I really reccommend visiting her channel!) that was about a breakfast with Jo Malone and everything looked so fancy and beautiful that I had to start doing some research on them!
For sure, the fact that they mainly produce fragrances grabbed my attention very quickly and made me very happy, BUT, discovering that there’s a Jo Malone store near me made me even happier! So I planned my visit and when I stepped in, the first thing that I noticed was that there was a very good smell and seeing all those perfectly placed bottles and overall how aesthetically pleasing that store is (as, by now, I would have expected from Jo Malone…), made me more interested in trying some of their fragrances out. I think one of the first best “basic” things that I was very pleased to see is that under every fragrance you can read if it is floral, fruity and so on therefore, based on your taste, you know which fragrance might work for you. I usually tend to go towards light floral and floral because I think that those kinds of perfumes are very elegant, feminine and just suitable for me.
After spending almost one hour at the store (not because I couldn’t find anything but because I tried not to spend all of my money!) smelling different colognes – even not the floral one because, well, I was at Jo Malone store and as a fragrances addict I had to smell them all – I couldn’t resist this…
Yes… this is the Red Roses Cologne by Jo Malone (as you would expect from all the pictures about this post – if you haven’t seen my Instagram pic you can go check it out here!) If you know me you know that red roses are one of my favourites flower; it reminds me of a very sophisticated, elegant, naturally beautiful and powerful woman. If this sounds like what you like to feel when you wear a fragrance then this is the one for you. The Red Roses Cologne by Jo Malone is surely the most particular yet beautiful red roses fragrance I know and I say that because, besides floral and light, I like my fragrances to be as natural and polished as possible; this cologne smells exactly like a fresh bunch of red roses, there is no other way to describe it. Therefore I would reccommend buying this cologne to anyone who likes her/his fragrance to be very floral, elegant, natural, all wrapped up in “sophisticated”.
Of course I believe my adventure with Jo Malone is not stopping here… there are so many other of their fragrances I would like to smell on myself, so if you like Jo Malone and you’re interested in their products you can follow by blog and keep up with my latest Jo Malone purchases.
What do you think about the Red Roses Cologne by Jo Malone and about this brand in general? Please let me know in the comment section below because I am interested in hearing your opinion about it!
With this said, I hope you enjoyed this post and I’ll see you on my next one! Bye xx
