Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Spray Review

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog and if you’re new, hi! Thanks for stopping by.

Today it’s going to be a review of the new Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Spray and since I’ve gone through a whole bottle already I feel like I can share my thoughts on it!

This is basically a primer, setting and refreshing spray all in one which to be honest, to me it sounded great but a bit too pretentious from one product only! But since I found the mini size I wanted to try this one out since (coincidence) I needed to buy both a new primer and a new setting spray. Want to know if it was worth it? Then please join me for today’s post to find out what I think about this product!

As you can see from the picture, this product comes in a plastic bottle but besides that I think the packaging looks cute as all the Too Faced ones and you can choose between two formats: 30 ml (1.0 Fl. Oz) for 16 €  and 120 ml (4.0 Fl. Oz) for 34,90 €. Right off the bat I can say that for the amount of product you get it’s more convenient to buy the bigger size but since I didn’t know what to expect I went for the smaller one to test this one out and see how I liked it.

Reading on the packaging, it says it’s a weightless 3-in-1 spray that’s supposed to prime, set and refresh your make up while keeping the skin hydrated.  It has coconut water, pro-biotic based ingredients and skin revivers in it and it’s silicon, alcohol and oil free, which I think it’s great!

As a primer: As you probably know by now, I have oily skin on my face and the idea of putting a primer in the form of a spray sounded really good to me because it results to be lighter than a creamy one. So, here’s the thing: since I have oily skin, sometimes I like to do a face mask before applying my make up to get rid of all of the oils that will make my foundation and all the make up slip and what I’ve found is that if I do a face mask before, this spray isn’t enough for me because even thou it has coconut water in it I think it doesn’t leave your skin super hydrated and if there are any dry patches on your skin it’s going to show afterwards because the foundation it’s not going to look smooth and flawless. So, if you have dry skin and you’re thinking about using this spray as a primer then think twice because I don’t think it’s going to work for that but if you have very oily skin this one can be good because it still feels tacky and actually weightless once you apply it, meaning that the foundation it’s going to stick on top of the skin a look good just like that.

As a setting spray: Here it comes the good part: I love this one as a setting spray! In fact I put this one in my list of the things I use no matter what when I’m doing my make up. It smells amazing and I actually noticed a difference when I first started using it because it actually really holds your make up in place for all night, leaving your skin healthy looking and naturally luminous but without making it appear oily whatsoever. So, if you have oily skin this one is great for that because it’s oil free and gives you that tiny moisture and touch of freshness once you apply it after your make up.

As a refreshing spray: As it says on the bottle, this spray can be used anytime to refresh your skin and here’s what I think: whenever I have to use something on my skin on a regular base, such as a refreshing spray which comes very handy during hotter days, I like to use something more natural just because I think that if you have to use something everyday and multiple times you better pick up something with more natural ingredients. Plus, I feel like it’s very easy to finish this up, so if you also use this as a refreshing spray you probably end up picking two bottles a month, especially if you use it for the three purposes it was made for. Please take a look at the next picture because there are all the ingredients in this product, which of course you can see it’s not completely natural.

As I said before, this doesn’t give you that much of hydration plus it feels tacky when you apply it, which is great for some make up purposes but not great if you’re using it during no make up days to refresh your skin because at least for me, I wouldn’t like it to feel tacky and weird. Instead, go for something with natural ingredients if you decide to use a refreshing spray on a everyday base.

Overall, I think this is a good product and I would probably buy it again to use it as a setting spray, but I feel like there are so many others out there to try out that I would probably try something different just to see how they work, even thou I think this is a very nice setting spray for my skin type.

What do you think of this? Have you tried it? Let me know your thoughts down below and also I would love to hear your recommendations if you know any good setting spray for oily skin!

This is it for today, I hope you enjoyed it and I will hopefully see you again in my next post! Thanks for reading, bye! xx
