Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog 🙂 Hope you’re doing well!
Today I wanted to share with you my recent purchases because there’s a lot of good stuff to talk about and I hope I can inspire you to get some of these goodies too! My recent purchases include – of course – skincare products, body care products, accessories and a book as well!
I’ve recently started to look for new products to add to my skincare and I actually did a little experiment which I am going to talk about in one of my following posts, so stay tuned for that because it’s going to be very interesting! As always, I will link all of the products below so if you want to get them as well you can!
Anyway, as you may know, I’ve been using the same face cream for months now just because I really love it and it’s perfect for my skin concerns and that is the Effaclar Duo (+) by La Roche-Posay. Since summertime is approaching and I am going to be exposed to the sun a bit more (hopefully…) I thought I would look for the same cream but with SPF in it. I actually found out that La Roche-Posay has it and I couldn’t be happier because I can’t even think about changing it!
Unlike the “normal” one, this version of Effaclar Duo (+) has SPF 30 in it and it’s a white cream, while the one without SPF is more of a gel, both colour and texture-wise. I’ve been using the SPF 30 one for about a week now and I think this one is definitely richer and actually leaves my skin more luminous, whereas the other one left me with a little more mat finish. I don’t know if you’re supposed to apply it just when you’re at the beach (because it’s so rich) but I still apply it everyday and my skin is still taking all the benefits of it with also sun protection which is good to prevent ageing and spots on your face.
Next up is a new toning lotion: I always have struggles with finding a good one or one that actually makes a difference for my skin so I decided to go with a brand I love which I’m sure you have heard me speaking of it before and it’s Rituals Cosmetics. I’ve talked about them a lot because I really enjoy their products and since they’ve recently come out with a skincare range, I thought I had to try something so I did a order from their website (Thank God, they now ship to Italy as well!)
I ordered the Rituals Cosmetics Ritual of Namastè Tonic Lotion, which it’s supposed to be a clarifyng facial toner from their Purify range. I’ve been using this for a week now but I still want to test it a little bit more to see how it performs to give you a more detailed review.
Next product is also from Rituals Cosmetics and it’s something I’ve been wanting to try for a long time because I really love and enjoy using shower oils so I got the Ritual of Ayurveda Shower Oil. I am so glad I finally decided to get it because it smells so good, rich and intense while being so sot on the skin. Rituals Cosmetics has lots of different smells so I chose this one because it’s Indian rose and sweet almond which is also very nourishing and hydrating for the skin.
There also was a promotion on the website so if you spent 30 € or more you could get a kit with mini sizes of their new skincare products which I really wanted to try.
I’ve been testing these ones as well but I still want to use them before giving you my final thoughts but so far I can say I’ve really enjoyed using them! In this kit you get a Moriga and holy lotus cleansing foam from their Purify range, a saffron flower and holy lotus radiance anti-aging serum and a also saffron flower and holy lotus radiance anti-aging day cream, both from their glow range. Last but not least, there’s also an anti aging ampoule booster.
I obviously couldn’t skip the fragrance section and since I had never tried Rituals Cosmetics fragrances I decided to go for a travel size to see how I liked it.
This is the their Fleurs de Himalaya Eau de Parfum with a wild orchid and Himalayan peony. As you probably know, I tend to go towards floral fragrances and this one looked like a dream to me. One thing I can say is that since I got it, I’ve been using this fragrance so much and I think it could be perfect for someone who likes intense floral smells because I think that having two types of flowers in it, obviously the floral note is the predominant one, leaving a nice and intense smell while being delicate and feminine. I like to use this as an everyday fragrance because the smell of it really wakes you up, but further infos about this will be given in a more detailed review soon!
Also from Rituals, I wanted to try one of their teas so I got the Rose Wisdom rose and ginger tea which smells and tastes to heavenly!
Last but not least, I FINALLY got the Stunna Lip Paint from Fenty Beauty! *cries emotionally* unfortunately, here in Italy we don’t get to try certain brands or we if we do, we get them a little bit later so as soon as Fenty Beauty landed in Italy I placed my order at Sephora! I tried it yesterday for the first time and as most of you know by now, it is one of the most beautiful reds, with high and intense pigment. As for everything above, I want to test these out before giving you any review but so far I can say I am pretty happy with my purchases!
Are you guys trying anywthing new lately? Let me know in the comments below so I can check them!
Thank you so much for reading my blog and I’m sorry If I was MIA for a week but I finally found a job and I’m still figuring out my shedule but I promise I’m back now and have lots of new post planned!
I will hopefully see you in my next post, bye! xx
